For children ≤2 years: eye (1–4) + verbal (1–5) + motor (1–6); total 3–15. Use standard GCS for older children.

How it works
pGCS adapts GCS verbal descriptors for preverbal infants and toddlers (≤2 years). Trend and motor response often carry greatest weight when verbal is untestable.
Limits
Does not replace imaging or ICP management. For children >2 years, use the standard GCS.
